This is definitely my new go to mexican place! The menu reminds me a lot of tijuana flats, but i feel that lime does it a bit better. Walking in you're greeted with a huge display of different hot sauces to get your mouth watering. The menu itself has a decent list of different tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and even fajitas. There is a separate kids menu as well. The restaurant offers a full salsa bar in addition to the hot sauces mention earlier, including mild to hot, with specialty salsas like pineapple based, green chili, and even a black bean and corn. The serving sizes are large, there's no reason to order multiples of things especially when you're trying out all the salsas with the included chips! The restaurant serves coke soft drink products. Pricing is on point for the restaurant style... more than a taco bell, but nothing too crazy and the taste/quality really makes the price worthwhile. They run a monday burrito special, and a tuesday taco special. The only issue that i had was the music selection. It was a little loud, and the electronic music they were playing didnt really fit the atmosphere I think they were trying to develop. Nothing worth taking a star away though. I'll be returning here for sure!

Lime is doing it right. Good sized portions, unlimited chips and drinks, and multiple salsas to choose from. They also do not charge for extra sour cream and other amenities.

So fresh and so clean! I know this is a new facility, but I have a feeling they will keep it clean for the long run. I ordered the Surfer Tacos (fish tacos) on soft shell. SO GOOD! Also order the Queso and chips which the queso had REAL cheese in it so it stayed nice and stringy the whole time we ate it. The portions are perfect, not too much and not too little. Jeff had the fajita platter and I tried the steak, ON POINT! The salsa bar was my favorite. They have little round wood trays you can place your salsa cups on to transport them to your table-BRILLIANT idea, I didn't have to go back multiple times or try to man handle them all and spill them...ain't no body got time to waste some tasty salsa! I'm a HUGE fan! I am stoked to go back to the WTF specials they have... this girl loves a good deal!

The food is good but I think both the queso and whipped cream have an odd taste. I have never seen this place crowded and always walked right up to the counter to place our order. The food is pricey while the frozen drinks are well priced.

I have only tried the naked burrito, but it was really good. I love the location in the town center.

I love coming here for lunch. Usually I'll come on Monday for the burrito special or Tuesday for the taco special. You can't go wrong with any choice but today I ordered the avocado bacon quesedilla and it's now officially my favorite option. To top it off the service is great and quick.

This was fantastic! The flavor of the steak was rich and the refried beans added unique texture. There was great verity in the salsa bar and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a craving for Mexican food, and we found this online. So glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so friendly. They served the food with smiles. The food was fresh, and I loved the salsa bar (so many options! ). Also liked the proportions, as I'm not a huge fan of gigantic burritos (like the ones at chipotle and qdoba). The servings were just perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!

Lime fish tacos are where it's at. Grilled or fried they are delish. Don't try coming on Tuesday for your lunch break. Taco Tuesday = 30 min wait. Every other day is good. Great salsa bar and selection of hot sauce. Gaucamole is on point too. Other then the fish tacos I'd prefer bowls and burritos from chipotle. Just being honest.

Working on Colonial Center Parkway, it's so convenient to be able to just walk to the plaza next door and grab lunch with the hour that you get to have contact with the outside world. But that sometimes can get monotonous if there are only a few options. But I could NEVER get tired of Lime. I get the queso burrito every time, and I could have that every day and not get sick of it. I have tried their salad and their chicken tortilla soup as well, though, and they are equally awesome. I am very happy this place came into my life. Also, they play the 90s satellite radio station outside. Just another reason to love them.

I was hugely impressed this afternoon. Excellent steak fajitas, not too greasy, brought out while still cooking on the flatiron. My wife loved the nachos with beef, and thought they might be the best in Orlando. The interior brings the outside in with a Pueblo style, and every one of the salsas we tried was good, with a hot sauce bar to boot. The food prices were good, but the beer was a little expensive at $4 for a bottle of Negra Modelo, which was our only complaint. We'll be back!

I've had the burritos and fajitas here. Both tasted great and fresh. However, the rice was not cooked completely on at least 2 occasions. And, there are always some chips that aren't completely baked. Also, the menu options are pretty much a standard. They lack the create-your-own options that similar places have. Their sauce bar is very fresh, but lacking in the flavor that you can find in similar places. But, they have plenty of bottled sauces so you should be able to find something that you like.

The wait to get served was way too long. Food was average and quite honestly not a very good value

Lime is off the charts! I love the atmosphere and how clean this place always is. The hot sauce selection is also a real unique add on to the typical places like this. Great fresh food and salsa bar. Also the have specials Monday through Thursday. Really good. Highly recommend. I'm coming back for sure.

Had dinner there and ordered one of the burritos with steak..no flavor what so ever..i also ordered the chicken tortilla soup which resembled a thick tomato base with crumbs of chicken.. Chipotle is way better and actually has flavor.

Wanted to get a quick bite that wasn't fast food or full service. We're a little burned out on Tijuana Flats so we thought we'd give this place a whirl. It's set up like Vamanos or Tijuana Flats in that you order at a counter and it's delivered to your table. We get there about 2 in the afternoon so we're talking maybe 20% full. Peruse the menu and order some chicken soft tacos and a bacon avocado quesadilla. They give you a number card and you grab your drink and as many salsas you want from the salsa bar. They have a bunch of hot sauces as well. We wander off to our table and wait.....and wait. Now it wasn't forever but it took waaaayyyyy longer than it should in what is a quick service establishment. You can see the line and it's no more complex than the one at Chipotle or Qdoba. All the while I'm staring at two 4 tops next our table that are completely trashed. Food all over the floor and not one bit bussed. The young lady brings us our food and drops it off without asking if we need anything. We didn't but that's not really the point. All but the most baseline fast food joints train their staff to see if they can offer the customer a refill or get more napkins or anything. Not today. The food. The chips are the best thing item I had. Thicker than most and nicely crunchy. My tacos were cold. Not cool....cold. They obviously made them instantly and spent all the time making the quesadilla letting the lettuce, tomato and sour cream render the meat maybe 55 degrees. Weirdly the soft taco shells weren't even slightly warmed before adding the ingredients. Flavors weren't off but just completely forgettable. The bacon avocado quesadilla was better but no better than average. The flavors were muddy and not super fresh. Just as we were finishing up our meal did they get to busing the tables next to us. They didn't completely do it however. Just picked up the bulk of the trash on the tables and left plenty of cups and the floor untouched. Looking around I don't think a broom had hit the floor since the previous nights close. Makes me wonder about what's getting missed in the back of the operation. Did I dodge a food poisoning bullet but not ordering the fish tacos? Hyperbole perhaps but if you can't properly clean a restaurant on a slow afternoon then why would I assume things are okie dokie at other times. Final thoughts. I'll give it another try in the future because I didn't send my food back and give them a chance to get it right. Maybe it would of come out perfect. I did get a Dos Equis Amber that was nicely cold but $4. That's the going rate at a full service joint. It's not a craft beer and you're not a sit down restaurant. Glad we didn't spend more time or money there today.

I love the great variation of salsas. Never have I seen or heard of a salsa with pineapples and it was great! My favorite of the salsas at the salsa bar. I had the Queso Burrito with chicken and without queso and jalapeños. The burrito was okay but Moe's is better. Also there were these tiny rectangular chips inside my burrito for no reason and there was also no sour cream. Burrito was really nothing great. Chips weren't warm and didn't have any flavor.

First this place should be closed down no ADA standards in place went with a wheelchair no ability for a table in side had to ask 10 people in line to back up no ability to even get out once in so we should leave food terrible why does everyone get excited about Salsa bar they give u cup so small u can't even dip a chip in the salsa taco bell has a batter taco and burrito and Chili's has better salsa

I've never been to one of these before. This mexi-like joint has burritos, tacos, and host of other nachos and sorts. It's like a glorified Chipolte. I like the Queso burrito. It has Queso inside, rice, beans, and meat. Pretty yummy. It came with chips and you get your own salsa. Another perk is they have Honest teas! Unlimited refills too! I like the hot sauce depot too. We tried some mango habanero, Thai sauce, medium hot and gator hot. They all are quite tasty. The overall ambiance is fresh and interesting the Bose speakers jammed old school rap and some newer hits from Justin Timberlake. I will be back here!

Oh Lime, I love this place. Always clean..always friendly employees to greet you and great food. I get the steak tacos and the Lime burrito with chicken. My wife always get the Surfer Taco and organic beans and rice which she loves. My big favorite is their salsa bar. If I only had one complaint would be they don't offer a hot salsa at that bar. I'm not in to hot sauce which they have plenty to choose from. We eat at least 2x a week.

Better than Chipotle. Closest thing to Baja Fresh I've found so far in Florida. I mean, it's not as good as Baja Fresh, but if fast food taco joints were a high school clique, this place would be hanging with the "cool kids" like Baja Fresh and Del Taco. Chipotle would probably be in the same group, but it would be the friend the rest of them made fun of behind its back. But collectively they'd all pick on and beat the snot out of Taco Bell and Taco Johns. Of course, it will never compare to the indie-alternative ma and pa joints, but not everyone can be THAT cool. Remember, popularity contests are won based on appearance and being seen in the right place at the right time -- like an overly crowded shopping mall full of commercialized chains. You'd never see the REAL cool kids caught dead in a place like this. So considering this, it's not half bad. My only real complaint is that I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were ice cold. I saw the guy working the grill so I know they were made fresh, but somehow the lettuce, pico de gallo, and ranch sauce cooled them off to the point where they might as well have been served on a bed of ice. I got the soft tacos and the tortillas weren't even warmed up. I don't know, maybe this is intentional. Maybe they're supposed to be cold. If so, that bums me out. But the hot sauce selection, salsa bar, and bottomless tortilla chips go a long way to take the sting out of it all.

Really similar to Tijuana Flats, without their great customer service. The ingredients are reasonably fresh (although the veggies are nothing to write home about), portions are generous, and they do unlimited refills on chips. Their queso wasn't the best, not much depth of flavor. Everything was really salty, and I didn't think much of it (just assumed the cook "stubbed his toe") until my roommate (who hadn't dined with me) asked me afterward if my food had been salty. When I said it had, she said every time she's been there it's been really salty. I'd come back if friends *really* wanted to, but with so many other options nearby this won't be my first choice.

This review is simple; we wish we had chosen a different place to eat with all the other options in Colonial Grand. Taco Bell has better tacos and BEWARE the hot sauces on the top tier of the table are dangerous to say the least. Also when I ask for sour cream, I don't expect to see any sort of granular product mixed into it (think it was garlic). The decor and outside seating (on a nice day & having our canine buddy with us) was what persuaded us to try Lime, however we've had far better food at the other well known Mexican grill restaurants and will not be repeat customers.

Being a big Chipotle fan i wanted to try something different. The food at Lime is good and is a decent size. This place is a great alternative to Tijuana Flats. I think the thing that they are doing right is their salsa bar. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and that the salsa is freshly made. You have the choice of red salsa, salsa verde (which has a kick to it) and i think a mango salsa. I had 2 chicken tacos and one steak taco. I thought they were very tasty. The only issue i had was the sour cream as i thought it had an interesting taste to it. Also i feel like they could have put a little bit meat in the taco and less lettuce (personal choice). However i have to say that all 3 tacos were very filling The location in Lake Mary can get very busy at lunch time which is expected. The restaurant itself is very clean and the location is great. Parking in Townpark can also be tricky as it is a very busy place. I am only giving it 3 stars because i wish they had a Taco Tuesday special like most Mexican restaurants have.

I am updating my review to one star because the manager went against his word and did not issue me a refund as promised. .I would encourage everybody to avoid this lime location

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has decent burritos on par with what you would find at Chipotle, Moe's, or Qdoba. I tried the Queso Burrito. It was pretty good and filled with cheese, chicken, black beans, and rice.

  • Rob M.

Not impressed. My wife had the bean burrito with guacamole and she did not like it. Beans tasted dry and canned, she says. I had the Queso burrito and it was fine, except for a few undercooked black beans and no sour cream, even though it is listed on the menu as an ingredient. All the salsas were not good. The atmosphere is casual and the place is clean but I don't think we'll be back. Oh and the open ceiling shows exposed spray-on insulation, which gives the impression it could flake off and fall onto your food. This did not happen, but again gives the impression....to me anyway.

    (2)
  • Robert M.

What a mistake it was going there. Only thing it has going for it is the atmosphere. Food was subpar, over priced for the portion size and had the quality more on par with a taco bell. So if you like overpriced mediocre food then this is the place for you.

It's fresh, and there's a salsa bar! What more could you ask for? Need more chips? The refills are free! It's got great ambiance with indoor and outdoor dining! Swing by Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for $2 tacos from 4-7! The drinks are 2 for 1 (beers margaritas, sangrias) on those nights too!

Visiting Orlando taking a Petroskills course at the Westin. We crossed the street to grab some lunch.. Lime Fresh has a nice patio with music playing. We considered it the most lively at 11:30 am, especially since we have been sitting in class since 8 am. Walked into get a table, turns out it's a fast food style, order then sit, but they deliver. Ordered Tortilla cup of soup & steak salad. They delivered within 8 mins I believe! That's a plus! The soup came in a small cup in a box with some chips.. Thumbs up! The salad came in a large orange bowl.. Looks great see photo, however, the beef tasted like nothing.. No flavor at all.. Think the cook forgot to add spices.. Don't think I'm going back..

I came here for the first time on cinco de mayo. They were extremely busy and overlooked my order but given the craziest of the festivities, it was ok. My only issue with this place and why I gave it three stars is the food just wasn't that good. I ordered two regular crunchy beef tacos. It was just meh even with the wide assortment of complimentary salsas. I'll try something else on another day that isn't extremely busy.

Pros: 1. salsa, and lots of them 2. guacamole....it comes on a lot of dishes and no additional charge 3. hot sauces, and lots of them 4. gluten-free chips. woohoo! 5. fresh and delicious. 6. large portions Cons: Not close enough to my house. I really enjoyed my experience here for lunch! I ordered the burito "nude" without the wrap, and they served it in a bowl, with a side of tortilla chips. I inquired, and the server assured me they are gluten-free. Yay! I tried several of their salsa, which were so delicious! Lots of flavor, lots of options. They even have plain cilantro you can add to anything at your discretion (for me that means a whole lot of cilantro). Their outdoor seating area is nice and cozy, and it doesn't feel cheap or uncomfortable. This is definitely something they improved upon in comparison to Chipotle. They also have a fair selection of maragaritas, beer, wine, etc. You really can't go wrong!

Customer service by one of the waitresses leaves a lot to be desired. And OMG, she talks way too much and people are rolling their eyes after she walks away. The steak in the taco was very chewy and the grilled fish in the other taco was cold. What do you expect from a fast food place I guess.

Always fresh and a little better than Chipotle. I like the salsa bar. Frozen Margaritas weren't bad.

  • Suavier Y.

Had the Lime Burrito with steak. The burrito had lots of beans but was still really good. I drizzled some Verde sauce in it and it was just right. The outdoor space was clean and comparable to other places in the area. They thought it through and put it on the side further from Corona Cigar. Cups at the salsa bar are too small for all those chips. You can also just grab one of about fifty bottles of hot sauce and take to your table. The bathroom was clean. I'm a little partial to Tj Flats. I'd go again and give them another try.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
